A new Flagship Killer?
OnePlus is back again with the OnePlus 5T to the game. Several brands like Samsung and even HTC released flagships with 18:9 format displays. It's a right move forward by OnePlus. Let's have a look at the new OnePlus 5T.
The iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy S8 have a glass backcover with a metal frame. You need to clean up the back each time because of the fingerprints on the glass look horrible.
OnePlus keeps the aluminium unibody. It's a solid material and also looks great. The front is fully glass with an 18:9 format display. The bezels are small. That's, why the fingerprint scanner was replaced to the back of the phone.
It has a large 6" 18:9 format AMOLED Display with a resolution of 2160x1080. The screen resolution of the Samsung Galaxy S8 is 2960 x 1440 Pixel. Instead, OnePlus decides for a FullHD+ Display. That's a good decision, because you can save your battery and use your device longer.
It's the new trend. Smartphones with 8GB Ram. Also OnePlus enjoys this trend with the 5T. Higher RAM makes your device to run more smooth with the right processor. It also allows you a better gaming performance, but do we need more RAM than 8GB? 16GB of RAM maybe?
Here, we get a device with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 (MSM8998). It's an Octa-Core Processor with 4x2.45Ghz and 4x1.9Ghz. It's the best processor out of 2017.
Another trend from 2017 is the dual camera setup. Here, we get two cameras with 20MP and 16MP. Booth have f/1.7 aperture with no Opical Image Stabilization (OIS). Furthermore, it features 4K recording at 30fps. The front camera has a 16MP f/2.0 aperture.
The OnePlus 5T is a flagship killer with a price of 499$ with minor debility. It has the latest CPU by Qualcomm and a good camera with a large battery. The only missing feature is an Optical Image Stabilization. If you can record videos without OIS, you're right with the OnePlus 5T. Visit also the official website of OnePlus for more information.
